About Canadian Virtual Doctors in Ontario

Canadian Virtual Doctors provides telemedicine GP services for adults and children in Ontario. We can help with non-emergency medicine and preventive healthcare.

With our convenient GP appointment booking system you can make an appointment online at any time: there is no need to wait for the health centre to open. We can offer appointments with Ontario doctors seven days a week, and we have extended opening hours, too.

Once you’ve chosen your GP appointment time, one of our Canadian GPs will call you when the time comes. You can take the call anywhere quiet that you feel you have sufficient privacy.

Our GP telemedicine service is great for those who find it difficult to access a clinic during normal opening hours. It can help the elderly manage their health with dignity and it saves time for workers. With a telehealth service you don’t have to travel to a family doctor’s clinic or use public transport, and there is no need to sit in a waiting room.

Canadian Virtual Doctors is not an emergency medical service

If you have a life-threatening emergency, do not try to make an appointment. Please call 911 without delay.

What should I do if I need an appointment with a GP right away?

Canadian Virtual Doctors is not an emergency service. If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.  For non-emergency medical care, we will be pleased to see you as soon as we have an appointment available.

Can your Ontario GPs renew my prescription?

We can arrange prescription renewals for you – just ask. The doctor will send the prescription to the Ontario pharmacy of your choice and when your meds are ready, you can pick them up.

Are telehealth appointments safe?

Doctors can safely treat more than 500 illnesses over the phone, and a video conferencing facility is available if this is needed.

But should you need more specialist help, or if your GP wants you to see a medical practitioner face to face, they will help you to arrange this.
